Breaking Liverpool have reached an agreement Georgian goalkeeper

Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, with the transfer set to take effect in the 2025/2026 season. Mamardashvili is scheduled to undergo a medical today as part of the transfer process. The deal, valued at a €35 million package, also includes a sell-on clause and is expected to be finalized within the next 24 hours.

As part of the agreement, Mamardashvili will remain with Valencia for the current season, continuing to develop his skills and gain valuable experience in La Liga.

Liverpool plans to keep Alisson as their first-choice goalkeeper for at least one more season, allowing the Georgian shot-stopper to join the Merseyside club in the summer of 2025.

This move underscores Liverpool’s long-term planning, as they secure a promising young goalkeeper to potentially succeed Alisson in the future. Mamardashvili, known for his impressive reflexes and commanding presence in goal, has been one of Valencia’s standout performers, and his arrival at Liverpool is seen as a strategic investment in the club’s future between the posts.
